Black Steel Sheet Bursa

Black Steel Sheet Bursa is the name given to flat steels in the form of rolls or sheets that are obtained by hot rolling of liquid steel, which is solidified by continuous casting, and whose thickness varies between 1.50 – 20.00 mm, which has more thickness compared to other sheet models.

Black Steel Production Process

It is used in the automotive and white goods sectors to meet special expectations. High-strength low-alloy steel grades, which are produced by micro-alloying method and can use both improved weldability and good formability at the same time, are used in the automotive industry sub-sectors. It is used in the production of kitchenware (pots, oven grills, etc.) with deep drawability properties. The basic difference that separates black steel from DKP sheets, which are used in many coating areas, the production of construction materials, the construction of road and rail vehicles, is their colors.

Black steel, whose thickness varies, is cut into strips and is the cleaned version of hot-rolled coil sheets. The cleaned black steel is shaped into rolls or sheets. As a result of the manufacturing process, the surfaces of the hot-rolled coils become covered with iron oxide. No change in black steel thickness is observed during these processes.

Usage Areas of Black Steel Sheet

Black steel can be used in all applications that do not require precise surface quality but require strength, rigidity and plasterability. Acid-cleaned sheets are used, especially in the machine manufacturing sector and automotive sub-industry. Since acid cleaning of the surface of black steel is easier and more economical than after machine manufacturing, manufacturers prefer purified material with acid-treated surfaces. Black steel suitable for cold forming can be used in all applications that require high strength, high impact and fatigue resistance, and formability. Additionally, black steel is used quite successfully in the production of LPG cylinders and pipe profiles. These steel grades, which are generally used for building sector applications, are preferred by users, especially in terms of high strength, formability, and weldability properties. Some usage areas for black steel are: building profiles, roof coverings, and painted sheet applications.
