304 Quality Stainless Steel is one of the basic types of stainless steel and the most commonly used one. This stainless steel quality is preferred due to its excellent chemical composition, mechanical properties, weldability, and corrosion-oxidation resistance in relation to its price. This stainless steel quality is one of the most commonly preferred stainless steel grades due to its ease of availability in the market, ease of shaping, and ease of welding. The corrosion resistance of materials in this quality is higher compared to 303 quality stainless steels. 304 Quality Stainless Steel belongs to the austenitic stainless steels group.

304 Quality Stainless Steel is the most widely used stainless steel in the world. Its ease of production and ability to be used in different shapes in many environments are the reasons why this quality stainless steel is the most common stainless steel in the world.

Although it is not suitable for extremely challenging environments, 304 Quality Stainless Steel is one of the superior stainless steel grades in terms of price-performance under standard conditions, and it has become a part of daily life, especially in almost every field of daily life.

316 Quality Stainless Steel

316 Grade Stainless Steel is a stainless steel grade obtained by adding molybdenum and more nickel into 304 grade stainless steel. Thanks to this content, the corrosion resistance of 316 grade stainless steel is very good even in harsh conditions (seawater, acidic liquids, etc.). Additionally, the ultimate strength of 316 grade stainless steel is much higher than 304 grade stainless steel. In our company, 316 grade stainless steel materials are available in bar, hexagon, flat, and square shapes and in various thicknesses listed below. 316 grade stainless steel is also referred to as 1.4401 grade stainless steel.

Usage Areas of 316 Quality Stainless Steel

Due to the high quality of material, 316 grade stainless steels have a wide range of usage areas. For instance, it is recommended to use stainless steel materials with 316 (1.4401) and its derivatives frequently in tanks and storage vessels for corrosive liquids, chemical and petrochemical industry, steam boilers, paint industry, food facilities, and mining.

430 Grade Stainless Steel

430 Grade Stainless Steel is a low-carbon and chromium-containing stainless steel grade that belongs to the ferritic class in terms of its properties. The weldability of 430 stainless materials is limited. On the other hand, since 430 stainless steels do not contain nickel and molybdenum, they are more affordable than 300 series stainless steels in terms of price. Stainless steels of this quality provide a good surface appearance in the materials they are used in. 430 grade stainless steel materials can be magnetized because they do not contain nickel. 430 grade stainless steel is also referred to as 1.4016 stainless steel. This stainless steel grade, which can also be referred to as X6Cr17, does not undergo heat treatment and can often be confused with 431 grade. 430 and 431 grade materials are quite different stainless steel grades and do not resemble each other in any way.

Usage Areas

The use of 430 grade stainless steel bars and materials produced from this quality has been rapidly increasing in recent years both in the world and in Turkey. It is not recommended to use materials of this quality in moving parts and parts where collision occurs. 430 stainless steel bars are used in various forms for decorative purposes, in the automotive industry, in washing machines, in applications where a shiny surface is desired, in household items, and kitchenware. Especially in dishwashers and refrigerators, 430 grade materials are frequently used.
